YOUTH WORKER FOR RESPITE PROGRAM Full-time (35 hours per week) or Part-Time (21-25 hours) position available working one on one with children in Ulster County. Position will provide care to children who have social emotional, behavioral needs. Worker will provide the families with respite by involving the children in structured recreational and skill building activities. Position hours include some early evening and weekend hours. Candidates need experience in working with children, knowledge of issues that children confront and flexibility. Paid training and on-going supervision provided. SITE SUPERVISOR-Adult Residential MHA in Ulster County, Inc. is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual to join our 13 bed community residence as a Site Supervisor. Responsibilities include but not limited to: planning and implementing a rehabilitative program and/or individually designed service plans for adults with mental illness and secondary problems in chemical abuse, overseeing the day to day operation, coordinating services with Ulster County Mental Health and other outside agencies, supervision of staff and providing a safe environment for the residents in the program. The Progam serves 20 children in four counties with severe emotional, social and behavioral disabilities, providing therapeutic Family Based Treatment, respite and family support services. Director is responsible for all aspects of the program, including public relations, interagency coordination, program development, program budget, overseeing medicaid billing, staff supervision, quality assurance, preparation of all reports, etc. Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service related field required. A minimum of 3 years experience in Mental Health management and staff supervision essential. Must have clean, valid NYS driver license and have been driving for at least 3 years.
MENTAL HEALTH RN MHA in Ulster County, Inc. is seeking a FT Registered Nurse to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. The ACT team provides intensive mental health treatment, in a multi-disciplinary mobile team model, to 48 adults in Ulster County with a diagnosis of serious mental illness, and possible substance abuse problems. This position is primarily Monday-Friday, 9a.m.-5p.m. Rotating call coverage is required. The nurse will conduct psychosocial assessments; assess physical health needs; make appropriate medical referrals; provide management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist. Qualifications are a current NYS licensure as a Registered Nurse, experience in Mental Health nursing required, and a clean, valid NYS driver license and have been driving for 3 years.
ADULT RESIDENCE COUNSELOR (On-Call) MHA in Ulster County, Inc. has several on-call positions available in residential programs working with adults recovering from mental illness who may also have substance abuse problems. Residence Counselors provide support and guidance, teach life skills, and prepare individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues to live more independently in the community.
